Headed down to Portland this weekend to catch up with a newborn client and photograph their little guy who just celebrated his 1st birthday! I love getting the chance to go back after a year and see how life has changed. Mom and dad always look more energetic and rested, the baby swings and bouncers have been traded out for push toys and stacking toys and piles of books.
Sam just cried and cried the first time we met so it was just so much fun to capture his smiles this time around! And he is walking all over the place!
If you've never done a "lifestyle family" session, or an "in-home family session," you really ought to consider it!! If you've ever taken your family out for a posed family session where everyone gets dressed in clothes they aren't used to wearing and kids stay up late to catch that beautiful evening light, you know it can be challenging and frustrating and exhausting. But an in-home session is so perfect because kids are in their natural habitat! And they get to play! Yes, we try for some posed images as well, but the majority of our time is spent trying to capture the special day-to-day moments you want to remember about your family. In our pre-session consultation, Krish mentioned things like time spent in the kitchen, reading books, playing with toys and going for walks. And she'll be seeing all that and so much more!
